My Favourite Book

Image result for a dog called homelessA Dog Called Homeless by Sarah Lean is my favourite book because it shows love and passion. The first one or two chapters are not very interesting but the rest is fun and exciting. It has 45 chapters with 5-10 pages in each chapter. If you are looking for a long chapter book this is the book for you.

Blue Peacocks

Male peacocks are a wonderful blue colour and have a blue crest on top of the head. They weigh 3.5 kgs to 4.5 kgs in weight. Over half their body length is from their tail. The tail is 140cm long. The rest of their body is 70cm to 100 cm long. They have the best plumage when they’re 5 or 6.

A blue peacock lives in India and Sri Lanka. With the predators of raccoons and also tigers are known for hunting them down.Blue peacocks are omnivores so that means they will eat plants and insects. The main things they are insects, plants, seeds and flower heads.

Peacocks have very good eyesight and hearing. They use their super senses of sight and hearing to find small reptiles, small animals, small fish and insects to eat. Once they spot their prey, they quickly grab them up with their beak and eat them. Peacocks can often be seen picking at the ground snatching up insects and small reptiles.

They live in forests, farmland, bush land and other warm regions with easy access to low trees in India and Sri Lanka.

Where I’m From

Where I’m From

( Inspired by George Ella Lyon )

I am from a tidy bedroom

to a pooey farm

the smell of poo is

quite a charm

I wake up every morning and

see cow poo and

I go to sleep every night

and hear the cows moo

I am from the first child

To the eldest cousin

When I cook I use the oven

I love helping my

mum and dad

And that makes me very glad

I am from motorbike

rallies to the room 1 fair, raising

money makes me cheer.

I celebrate my friends

Birthdays and

I wish it could last for days!

Perseverance Story

A time I persevered was last year at Room 1 camp. We walked over to the Adrenalin forest. The Adrenalin forest is a fun activity that you walk along ropes to get to the top of the course. That’s when I persevered I was on the second level and I was freaked out because I was scared of heights but my friend Zara was going  to stay with me the whole time so I knew I would be alright by the end of the day I was up to level 5. When I got home from camp I asked mum and dad if we could drive up to the Adrenalin forest and then I can get to the highest level.

My Favourite Childhood Memory

My favorite childhood memory would definitely be going to leap! In August the 24th 2019 My family drove up to Dunedin to leap for my cousin Jayden’s 8th birthday. When we got up there and us four kids started off with rock climbing for half an hour while the adults were helping us. My Nan brought food so we had a little then after that half an hour we walked over to the trampolines and played there. When our time was up we left to go to the Dunedin Train Station for lunch.
